Meet Dr. Juan Rafael Porras

A Highly Trained Periodontist

Rafael Porras DDS, MSD is a board-certified periodontist and dental implant provider.

Born and raised in San Jose, Costa Rica, Dr. Porras frequently visited family in Miami during his youth, making his decision to practice in Florida a natural choice. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Costa Rica, where h.

Following his initial dental training, Dr. Porras pursued additional education with a two-year advanced education in general dentistry residency at the University of Connecticut Health Center, followed by a one-year fellowship in general dentistry at the same institution.

He further specialized by completing a three-year certificate program in periodontics and implant dentistry at Louisiana State University, where he also earned his Master of Science in dentistry.

Dr. Porras dedicates himself to delivering outstanding periodontal and implant services using leading-edge techniques in a comfortable, relaxed environment.

Outside the office, Dr. Porras enjoys outdoor activities with his wife Andreja and their sons Liam and Luca, often enjoying Florida’s pleasant climate at local parks and beaches.
